Instant Nine: Style

I’m very interested in people’s style. Fashion is fun to photograph, but capturing a person’s style on film is like documenting part of their personality they wish to show to the public through clothes. My sister in this instant has a very distinct look with a old tweed jacket, brown boots, and denim shorts; it suits her look and personality.  Although I like photographing people in a more natural perspective, I decided to go for the deadpan view and I think the brick draws the viewer’s attention to the person and their clothes!

Do you like photographing people with a distinct style?

When ever I glimpse a person wearing a unique outfit walking along the street, my eyes are immediately drawn to them and I wish I could photograph them!
